Yep always liked these. Bought it to use while my mustang is being converted to a Saleen. Got this car for $500 and its a very good driver at the moment. I plan to do a 5.0 HO conversion using the motor from my Mustang (made 267 RWHP 305 RWTQ). I have a 2500 stall convertor($125) and shift kit($40) $200 labor for install of those parts for the tranny and a set of 3:73's(I had these lying around)($100 labor to install). I will also be using the mustang headers and H pipe. Rims will be a set of 16in pony's($250 with TIRES!!). and for the paint I will have it repainted proally by Macco. Trying to keep the $ amount to less than 2500 TOTAL!!! WOuld be nice if it ran in the LOW 14's. Other money will be spent on bringing the suspension to better condition, it rides nice now but is soft.

Thats a nice Cougar needs some work but for $500 its not bad at all. The only problem your going to have with your upgrades are going to be the gears the cougars have the 7.5 rear end.

Since it's an '88 XR7, it would actually have the 8.8 rear already, so gears are no problem. Sounds like quite a deal, and should come out quite well.

added more pics of the underneath. NOT a true dual exhaust system, heck thats proally worth a few ponies right there.
