They have some pretty good buys on that style wheel if you shop around. What do you guys think? Would it look good?

They look pretty dam good.
Keep in mind though if you want to get some buy the knock off's not the originals.
The originals had a strange rear offset to tuck them in more on a stang due to the longer TC rear end they used.

I don't think I want to pay for originals...I'll bet they are even higher than new knock offs. One of the sets I saw were on eBay polished for around $500. I think they were 17x8 with 24mm offset.

on the corral website you can get 17x8's ,17x9's,17x10,17x11 or 5 lug 93 cobra rims from one of the rim company's that is make new knock offs.

I think they'd look great.I wish there were 10.5 inch wide 4 lug chrome Cobra R wheels.I know I could have mine widened easily, but the cost is a lot.

You mean stock 93' Cobra rims, right?
Took me a few minutes to find out there aren't very good sources for doing this 'chop, but here's what I came up with in a few minutes....

Hey thanks man! I'd given up on anyone choppin' that for me. I think that some chrome '93 cobras are going to be replacing my R's within the next year. That looks really good. I think it goes better with the car than the 5 spokes. It looks more "period correct". THANKS.

Been a almost a month since you last replied, but I had some free time this morning and figured I'd take a little more time and do a better job 'chopping it.
Not sure if it'll help anymore than the other, but here's a better take anyway.

It's funny you should mention that. I made the one below yesterday, but I'll do a proper burnout 'chop when I get some free time later.

I wish I had pics of my 83 tbird. I had 93 polished cobra wheels on it back in 95. They look sweet on the tbirds. The originals you have to use spacers so I would go the knock off route

That is awesome. Makes me want to convert to 5 lug and go with a cowl hood of some sort. You guys are good at this photoshop stuff!!!

Wow shit was pretty cool up until the point when you turned my car into a "donk" or whatever they're called. (just kiddin man) But seriously there's no way that will ever happen to my ride...lol. I am not into that stuff at all. Plus I'm pretty sure only GM G-bodies recieve that treatment so I should be safe.

Yeah, those are my favorite rims on fox T-Birds and Cougars, 97' Cobras. I found some locally for 200 bucks with tires, but I'm staying 4 lug so no-go for me. I want a 4-eye T-Bird to go crazy with since I'm trying my best to keep my 20th as stock (looking) as possible, but around here they're very uncommon. Can't seem to find a notch Mustang either :punchballs: .
If you've got any requests I'll give it my best shot. BTW, the scoop in that last picture I 'chopped came off of an SVO Mustang. I always thought one of those would look cool on a fox T-Bird.

There are alot of those around here. I personally think they are jokes, built to make you laugh. I mean, who here wants a 4x4 Cadillac? A local guy ruined a 87' Cadillac by lifting it and putting 24"+ rims on it, one day he parked by a Navigator and his car was just as tall . Why not put the money where it's needed (IE: under the hood). I've seen numerous cars that were destroyed, similar to above, and were running around smoking up a storm with thousands poured onto the outside to make it look better (well atleast that's what they think).
I think if you own one of these cars you should be shot or taken to prison, either would suffice as you just don't want people like this exposing themselves or their outrageous ideas to the general public. END OF STORY

Well sadly most of the people who do that type of shit to cars usually have prison either in their past or immediate future. Different strokes for different folks I guess...just not my cup of tea. To me if you do something to a car it should be to make it go faster, handle better, etc. Doing that to a car does the exact opposite as far as performance goes...plus it looks wierd as hell.
