Can we get some pictures of everyones engine compartments that have done the HO conversion? Just curious, got my engine back and close to dropping it in, wanted to see the creativity!

heres mine from last summer. Its somewhat different now that I sqweezed two turbos in there also.

how did u fill all the swiss cheese holes in on the inner fenders
mine still looks pretty close to this, hopefully it will be better by CJ

you're supposed to weld the holes, then sand em down, then paint. probably impossible to do with the engine in, and from what I've heard, it's a pain in the ass. but it's well worth it, the engine bay looks 100% better

*sigh* Each and every one of those (even the stock ones) put mine to shame. I bet mines got less wires and junk than a lot of 'em though!

A friend came over to weld the holes in while the engine was out. It was a lot of hassle...we both agreed never to do that again! It's not as smooth as I'd like, but for now it's decent.

I'll probably be doing the hole welding thing on the engine compartment of the Cougar...not going to mess with it on the TBird though.
I don't (won't) have a 5.0....so I won't post my pic (it's old anyway) :p

Alot of the Mustang guys, weld thin sheetmetal over the engine bay, and firewall to really smooth them out. example below...
